Digital payment firm PayU has allocated a whopping Rs. 60 crore towards it advertising campaign. The major chunk of the funds will be utilized on television campaigns while the remaining amount will be spend on digital and outdoor advertising.
The sole intention of this advertising campaign is to expand its user base to 8 million from the current figure of 3.7 million and merchants to 1 lakh from the current figure of 65,000 within a couple of months.
The entire advertising campaign will be undertaken by the creative agency Leo Burnett while Mindshare has been appointed as its media agency.
Established in 2011, PayU offers payment solutions to major e-retailers such as Groupon, Cleartrip, Bookmyshow, Jabong and Snapdeal.
